FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When will my order ship?

CT1 is a pre-order product. The first production batch is expected to ship between March and April 2027. You are charged at checkout and your band is reserved from that batch; we email a tracking number as soon as it leaves our warehouse.

Can I cancel a pre-order?

Yes. Cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund — reply to your order confirmation email or write to info@miunda.com with your order number. If your band has already shipped, the standard 30-day return policy applies instead.

What is the difference between core temperature and skin temperature?

Skin temperature is measured at the surface and is strongly affected by ambient temperature, sweat and blood flow. As sweat evaporates, skin temperature falls while core temperature may still be climbing — the most dangerous rise is exactly what gets masked. Core temperature is the temperature inside the body, and it is the value that maps directly to heat-stress and fever risk. CT1 estimates core temperature by fusing four signals: IR wrist temperature, heart rate and HRV, ambient temperature and humidity, and motion.

Why do I have to enter my sex, age, weight, resting heart rate and resting temperature?

These five values are the base parameters the core-temperature algorithm uses to build your personal baseline. If they are inaccurate, the whole baseline shifts — and a shift of 0.5 °C moves every subsequent reading and alert by the same amount, which can cause missed or false alerts. Please enter them as accurately as you can. You can update them any time in the app under My → Health Profile; changing them triggers a new baseline-learning period.

How long does the baseline take to learn?

The first 3–7 days are a personal baseline-learning period. Wear the band as continuously as possible during it. Readings and alerts become noticeably more accurate once learning completes; during learning, alerts fall back to general parameters.

How do I read the light colours?

  • Green — normal. Low steady or slow breathing light. No vibration.
  • Yellow — mild. One short flash, then slow breathing. No vibration. Consider hydrating.
  • Orange — moderate. Two short flashes, then medium breathing, with a repeated double vibration. Stop activity, rest and cool down.
  • Red — severe. High-frequency flashing with continuous escalating vibration. Stop activity immediately, move to a cool place, hydrate. Seek medical help if needed. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to acknowledge.

Can I turn off the red alert?

No. The red (severe) alert is enforced by firmware and takes priority over every app setting — the app does not provide a way to disable it. If you switch the light module off, vibration alerts are still kept. Mild and moderate alerts still flash and vibrate at the moment they trigger.

How should I wear it for accurate readings?

The sensor must sit against the skin on the inside of your wrist with no clothing in between. Place the body about one finger-width from your wrist bone, and adjust the strap so you can still slide one finger underneath — too loose and light leaks in, which causes temperature error. After intense exercise, a shower, or moving from a cold place into heat, wait 10–20 minutes before reading your temperature.

How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?

5–7 days with continuous core temperature and heart-rate monitoring. Charging is magnetic and takes about 2 hours for a full charge. Low battery is signalled by a flashing battery icon and a vibration — the light module is not used for low-battery warnings.

Is it waterproof?

CT1 is rated IP67, which covers sweat, rain and everyday splashes. Do not use it for swimming or showering in hot water.

Does it work with my phone?

Android 4.4 and above, or iOS 9.0 and above. The app is available in 13 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Will alerts still work in Do Not Disturb mode?

Yes. Core temperature alerts — including the red alert — still trigger during Do Not Disturb hours.

Is CT1 a medical device?

No. CT1 provides health reference and trend monitoring only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and its cycle and ovulation predictions must not be used as contraception or as a medical basis.
